Over the years Neil Helyard has worked on some amazing paintings and portraits and has also had the pleasure of meeting a few people along the way. Here are a few to mention along with some notable Helyard paintings.

Boris - RSPP 2007 - surprising who you see at the RSPP [1]. Painting at the back is by Sir John Kyffin Williams, OBE, RA. Neil was exhibiting a painting called ‘Connor’ that year. Neil with Betty Boothroyd [2] after she presented him with the Prince of Wales’ Award for Drawing RSPP 2009, Mall Galleries, for ‘Thelma’ [3].

Connor [4] under his portrait taken at the Neil’s solo show ‘Intimate Reflections’, Beverley Art Gallery 2006. Neil with Justin Urquhart Stewart [5] and the painting ‘Ali’ which won
the ‘Love and Legacy Award at the RSPP 2014, Mall Galleries.

Neil stood with the portrait painting ‘Peter’ in the Mall Galleries London, RSPP 2012 [6]. Neil with a portrait of Sir Tom Courtenay [7] from 2005 which hangs in the gallery Garrick/Milne, Christies, London, and a photo taken outside Christies, London with Michael Gambon [8].

All these colourful people bring influence into an artist’s life and work, these are just a few brush strokes in an amazing body of work from Neil Helyard.
